Dominican Passion Fruit Oat Juice + (Video)
This jugo de chinola con avena is creamy, fresh, and a little tangy in the best way. The chinola gives it that bright tropical flavor, while the avena makes it smooth and filling.

💛 Jessica made this passion fruit oat juice for us at La Cocina de Keesha Studio. She has such a nice way of making simple homemade juices feel a little special without overcomplicating them. This one is cold, fresh, and just a little more filling than regular juice.

Why I Love This Recipe
I love this recipe because it uses simple ingredients but gives you such a nice texture and flavor. The chinola is fruity and sharp, and the avena softens everything into a creamy, easy drink.

Ingredients
- Passion fruits
- Oats
- Water
- Sugar
- Ice

Tips & Tricks
- Use quick oats if you want it smoother: They blend more easily than thicker oats.
- Strain the passion fruit: This removes the seeds and gives you a smoother juice.
- Add the oats gradually: They thicken the drink quickly, so start with less and adjust the texture as needed.

How to Store
This juice is best enjoyed fresh because the oats continue to thicken as they sit.Keep leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Stir or shake well before serving and add a little cold water if it becomes too thick.

Dominican Passion Fruit Oat Juice
Ingredients
- 4 large passion fruits, pulp removed
- ½ cup oats
- 4¼ cups water (1 liter)
- ¼ cup sugar, or honey to taste
- Ice, for serving, optional
Instructions
- Scoop the passion fruit pulp into a bowl and have the oats, water, and sweetener ready to go.
- Add the passion fruit pulp, oats, and water to a blender. Blend until the oats are broken down and the drink starts to look creamy.
- Pour everything through a fine-mesh strainer into a pitcher. Use a spoon to press the mixture through so you get as much of that creamy juice as possible.
- Stir in sugar or honey to taste. Passion fruit can be nice and tangy, so adjust the sweetness depending on how you like it.
- If the juice feels a little too thick, add a splash of cold water and stir again.
- Pour over plenty of ice and enjoy it right away while it is cold, creamy, and fresh.
