Riverdale Strawberry Milkshake

If you’re a fan of Riverdale, you’ll know the classic Riverdale strawberry milkshake. Our favorite redhead, Archie, is known for ordering this classic shake in both the comics and in the TV show. After seeing these milkshakes over and over, I knew I needed to be sipping on one of them asap! Believe me, this classic strawberry milkshake is such a treat. The syrup also adds the perfect pale pink color to the milkshake.

Perfect for an any-day treat, this milkshake is creamy and full of flavor. Enjoying a classic strawberry milkshake makes you feel like you’re sitting right in the Pop’s diner alongside Archie, Jughead, Veronica, and Betty. Made simply by blending milk, vanilla ice cream, and strawberry syrup, this shake is the perfect creamy treat. Whip it up in just a few minutes and feel like you’re a part of the Riverdale crew!

Ingredients

Milk: Adding the right ratio of milk to the ice cream is important to get the right texture. You need enough milk to keep it fluid, but not too much as you want it to remain thick and creamy.

Vanilla ice cream: Vanilla ice cream is used in this recipe as the perfect base for the strawberry flavor which will be added on top.

Strawberry syrup: Homemade syrup is easily made by cooking strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Trust me, it’s worth spending the time on the homemade stuff! If, however, you don’t have the time to make homemade syrup, store-bought will work as well.

Whipped cream: Just like syrup, homemade is always best. Simply make some homemade whipped cream by whipping together cream with a touch of sugar. I love to add just a splash of vanilla for extra flavor. If you can’t make homemade whipped cream, store-bought works perfectly for this recipe.

Strawberry: Adding a strawberry to the shake not only tells whoever is enjoying it what kind of milkshake it is, but it makes it look like a classic milkshake served in a diner. For the full Riverdale look, be sure to add a sliced strawberry to the top of your glass.

How to make Riverdale Strawberry Milkshake

Using a high-speed blender, blend together milk, vanilla ice cream, and strawberry syrup. Yup, it’s that easy! For an easy dessert, this milkshake recipe comes together in just a matter of minutes.

Tips and Tricks

If you want it more vanilla taste, add another scoop of ice cream. The great thing about making milkshakes at home is that you can control the flavor.

If you want to make a chocolate milkshake, simply substitute the vanilla ice cream for chocolate and add 1/4 cup of cocoa powder. For a strawberry vanilla swirl, add 1/2 cup of fresh or frozen strawberries into the blender along with the ice cream and syrup.

  1. Virginia Bogan says:

Is there some way u can make the syrup sugar free.

    1. That’s a great question and yes, absolutely. Instead of sugar just add granulated low-carb sweetener such as Allulose, Erythritol or Swerve. Many thanks and all the best, Keesha
