Ingredients for Big Mac Tacos

For the Sauce: Mayonnaise, pickle relish, onion, mustard powder, garlic and onion powder, paprika, vinegar or pickle juice, and a touch of honey. You can mix in other sauces, like my HelloFresh Cream Sauce Base.

For the Tacos: Ground beef smash patties with salt and pepper, served in flour tortillas with American cheese or less processed options, lettuce, pickles, and onions.

How to Make Big Mac Tacos

1. Mix mayo, relish, grated onion, mustard, vinegar, spices, and honey. Set up with lettuce, pickles, onions, and Big Mac sauce.

2.  Shape ground beef into thin, wide patties and cook until browned and slightly charred.

3. Press a tortilla onto each cooked patty, then flip and cook until the tortilla is crispy. Add a slice of cheese and remove from the heat.

4. Assemble with lettuce, pickles, onions, and a drizzle of Big Mac sauce. Enjoy!

Making Big Mac Sauce Ahead

Make the sauce a few days early and store it in an airtight container with plastic wrap pressed on top. It keeps 4–5 days in the fridge, or 3 if using homemade mayo.

Keesha’s Tips & Tricks

  • Preheat the Skillet: A hot pan gives patties that golden char and prevents sticking.
  • Keep Them Thin: Thin patties = faster cooking and crispy edges while staying juicy.
  • Toast That Tortilla: Once I flip the tortilla, I let it toast a little longer in the pan. That bit of crunch holds everything together.

How to Store Big Mac Tacos

Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For best results, store the tortillas and toppings separately. Reheat the patties in a skillet or air fryer to restore their crispy texture.

FAQs about TikTok Viral Big Mac Tacos

Yes, but freeze the patties only. Let them cool, freeze in a single layer, then transfer to a freezer bag. They’ll keep for about 1 month. Reheat in a hot skillet or air fryer and add fresh tortillas, sauce, and toppings.

Yes, you can use corn tortillas, but flour tortillas are softer and feel more like a burger bun.

Serve the tacos soon after assembling, or keep them warm on a wire rack in the oven. Add the sauce and cold toppings just before serving so the tortillas stay crisp.

Use lean ground beef or ground turkey instead of fatty beef.

  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp honey

Instructions

Making Big Mac Sauce

  • In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, pickle relish, grated onion, mustard, and vinegar, blending them thoroughly with a small whisk or spoon until well combined.
  • Add paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, and honey to the mixture, stirring until all the seasonings are fully integrated.

Making Big Mac Taco

  • Set up a station with lettuce, pickles, onions, and your copycat Big Mac sauce.
  • Divide the ground beef into 4-5 portions and shape each into a thin, wide patty. Heat the pan over medium heat.
  • Place them in a frying pan. Once the patties have browned and developed a slight char on one side (approximately 2 minutes), flip them.
  • After flipping, place a tortilla on top of the cooked side of the patty and press down firmly to flatten the patty further.
  • Allow the other side of the patty to cook until done, about another 2 minutes. Flip once more, so the tortilla can warm up and become crispy. This will also aid in folding the tacos later.
  • Add a slice of cheese and let it melt while the tortilla continues to cook.
  • Remove the tacos from heat and place them on a plate. Begin by topping them with pickles, followed by shredded lettuce, and finally, the diced onions.
  • Drizzle the earlier prepared Big Mac sauce over the tacos and savor the deliciousness!
