Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups fresh ripe mango, chopped
  • ½ cup plain yogurt, chilled
  • ½ cup whole milk, chilled
  • 1 tsp honey or sugar syrup (simple syrup)
  • ½ tsp ground cardamom
  • Ice, to serve

Instructions

  • First, prepare the fresh ripe mango. I recommend using fresh mango. See the above section on using frozen mango.
  • Make sure the cubes aren't too big. Also, check that they don't have any soft fibers from the pit. It should only be mango flesh.
  • Place the chopped mango pieces inside a blender.
  • Add the plain yogurt, whole milk, honey or simple syrup, and ground cardamom.
  • Pulse the ingredients for a minute or two. The mixture should be completely smooth and lump-free.
  • Serve the mango lassi with ice immediately. Alternatively, see the storage tips for this delicious, refreshing drink.
