1 ½ cups fresh ripe mango, chopped ½ cup plain yogurt, chilled ½ cup whole milk, chilled 1 tsp honey or sugar syrup (simple syrup) ½ tsp ground cardamom Ice, to serve
First, prepare the fresh ripe mango. I recommend using fresh mango. See the above section on using frozen mango.
Make sure the cubes aren't too big. Also, check that they don't have any soft fibers from the pit. It should only be mango flesh.
Place the chopped mango pieces inside a blender.
Add the plain yogurt, whole milk, honey or simple syrup, and ground cardamom.
Pulse the ingredients for a minute or two. The mixture should be completely smooth and lump-free.
Serve the mango lassi with ice immediately. Alternatively, see the storage tips for this delicious, refreshing drink.
