First, prepare the chicken wings. Slice the wing joints without cutting through the chicken bone. This trick will help spread the chicken wing open. Set the wings aside.
Then, whisk together the remaining ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Make sure they are very well distributed and that you have a uniform marinade.
Combine the prepared chicken wings and marinade in a large mixing bowl, baking dish, or zip-lock bag. Any one of these containers will work, as long as it completely coats the chicken wings with sauce.
Close the container or bag and ensure it's airtight. Then, marinate the chicken wings in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
Once the chicken wings have been marinated, preheat the oven to 400ºF (200ºC).
Place the wings in a single layer on a lined baking sheet. Cover the wings with aluminum foil and bake them for 20 minutes.
Check the progress of your wings by testing their internal temperature. If they are close to being ready, remove the foil and continue baking them uncovered for another 5-10 minutes. But, if they are not close to being ready, continue baking them covered for a little longer.
Once your chicken wings are completely baked, remove them from the oven. Allow them to cool for a couple of minutes. Then, serve them hot with your favorite accompaniment.
