This baby-back slow-cooked ribs recipe is super easy to make. And, like all ribs, it takes a while to bake but the final flavor is worth the wait! You can also easily customize it to your liking. Don't forget to make one of your favorite sides from my website while the ribs bake!
Begin by preheating your oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit (93ºC). Line a baking pan with aluminum foil.
In a small bowl, mix together all of the dry rub ingredients.
Rub the spice mix all over the ribs, making sure that they are thoroughly coated.
Then, place the ribs, with their meat side facing downwards, into the baking tray. Cover the tray with more foil.
Bake the baby back ribs for roughly 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 hours depending on their size.
If your meat is almost finished cooking at this point, it's time to flip them over to finish the baking process. To start, drain any excess drippings and oils inside the pan. You can reserve them for later use.
Flip over the ribs so that your meat side is now facing upwards. This will allow the juices on the top to caramelize.
Bake the ribs until they reach an internal temperature of around 190-200 degrees Fahrenheit (88-93ºC). The ribs will already be safe to eat aorund 145ºF (63ºC), but the higher temperature is for uber-tender and juicy ribs.
Once your ribs have reached the perfect internal temperature and are super soft, you can remove them from the oven. Allow them to rest for 10 minutes before serving them with your favorite side dish.
