Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread (2 slices per person)
  • Toppings: butter, jam, peanut butter, avocado, or any topping of choice (Optional)

Instructions

  • Warm Up the Oven to 350°F (175°C). This is a moderate temperature that will toast the bread evenly without burning it.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easier cleanup. If you don't have parchment paper, you can place the bread directly on the baking sheet without greasing it.
  • Lay out the 8 slices of bread in a single layer on the baking sheet. Make sure to leave a small gap between each slice to allow hot air to circulate and toast the bread evenly.
  • Place the baking sheet on the middle rack of your preheated oven. Bake for about 10 minutes. Halfway through, at the 5-minute mark, flip each slice to ensure both sides are evenly toasted.
  • Oven strengths can vary, so begin checking the toast after 8 minutes. The goal is to achieve a golden brown color and a crispy texture on both sides.
  • Once the toast is done to your satisfaction, remove the baking sheet from the oven with oven mitts. Serve the toast immediately with your chosen toppings.
