Ingredients

  • 14 ounces semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • 6 Tbsp Hot cocoa mix
  • ½ cup mini marshmallows
  • Sparkling sugar, sprinkles, gold or crushed candy canes for decoration

Instructions

Prepare Chocolate Shells:

  • Start by gently melting the high-quality chocolate until it reaches a smooth consistency. This can be done using a double boiler or in the microwave in short intervals.
  • Using a spoon or a pastry brush, thickly coat the inside of silicone molds with the melted chocolate to form the initial layer of the shells. For added strength and durability, apply a second layer of chocolate. Allow each layer to set in the refrigerator before applying the next, ensuring a robust shell for your chocolate bombs.

Filling the Bombs:

  • Once the chocolate shells are firm and set, carefully remove them from the molds.
  • Fill half of the chocolate shells with a delightful mixture of mini marshmallows and cocoa mix. This filling will create the delicious core of your chocolate bomb.

Sealing the Bombs:

  • Melt some additional chocolate, which will be used as a "glue" to bind the two halves of the chocolate bomb.
  • Gently attach the empty half of the chocolate shell to the filled half, using the melted chocolate to seal them together. Make sure the edges are properly aligned and sealed to prevent any leaks.
  • Place the sealed chocolate bombs back in the refrigerator and allow them to set completely. This will ensure the filling is securely encased within the chocolate shell.

Final Touches:

  • Once set, you can decorate the exterior of the chocolate bombs with additional melted chocolate. Drizzle it in a decorative pattern or use it as an adhesive for festive sprinkles or edible gold dust, adding a touch of elegance and festivity.
  • To serve, place one of the chocolate bombs in a mug and pour hot milk over it. Watch as the chocolate shell gracefully melts away, revealing the marshmallow and cocoa mix inside, and creating a rich, cozy, and delightful chocolate drink.
