Instructions
Prepare the elements
To start, add your large eggs into a mixing bowl. Then, add the granulated brown sugar, cinnamon powder, and nutmeg.
Beat the eggs very well using a fork or horseshoe whisk. Make sure the eggs are broken up and that the mixture is uniform.
Next, add the milk. Again, whisk together the ingredients very well. Set the mixture aside.
Now move on to the bread. Use a small round cookie cutter to cut out four discs from each slice of bread. Keep the bread discs aside.
Finally, peel and slice the bananas. The slices shouldn't be thicker than the slice of bread.
Cook your banana French toast
Transfer the egg mixture to a shallow bowl.
Add the bread to the egg and allow it to soak for 30 seconds per side. Work with one slice at a time only.
Preheat the butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Then add the toast bread.
Add a bit of brown sugar to each hole of the bread slice. Next, add a slice of banana to each hole, followed by more of the egg mixture.
Allow the slice of French toast to cook for a couple of minutes until it becomes crispy and brown. Flip it over and allow it to cook on the other side.
Repeat the steps until all your banana French toast slices are completely cooked.
Finally, soak and cook the bread discs.
To assemble your banana French toast breakfast, stack the toast on top of each other. Then, garnish the stack with the fried bread discs, fresh banana slices, and some blueberries. And don't forget some maple syrup!
