There are 3 teaspoons in a tablespoon.  This is equal to 1/3 of a fluid ounce or 1/6 of a fluid ounce (US).  In the metric system, 1 tablespoon is equal to 15 ml.

If you need to measure a solid, such as flour or sugar, and don’t have a measuring cup, you can use a kitchen scale.  1 cup of flour is equal to about 4.5 ounces or 125 grams.

If you don’t have a measuring cup, there are other ways to measure liquids. For example, 1 cup is equal to 16 tablespoons. So if you need 1/4 cup of liquid, you can use 4 tablespoons. Or 1/2 cup of liquid would be 8 tablespoons. 1 tablespoon = 1/16th of a gallon There are 16 tablespoons in a cup and 2 cups in a pint. This means there are 32 tablespoons in a pint.  And since there are 4 quarts in a gallon, that means there are 128 tablespoons in a gallon.
