Cauliflower Salad

My colorful cauliflower salad is a healthy and delicious dish that also looks wonderful. This salad is perfect for special occasions. Your guests will be amazed if you serve this unique cauliflower salad the next time you invite them.

All you really need for this recipe is cauliflower, radish, carrot and coriander leaves. For the dressing I am simply using salt, black pepper, olive oil, lemon juice, and vinegar. The unique thing about this recipe is that we are serving the salad on a self-made puffy bowl.

To make this beautiful edible bowl, you will need flour, beetroot water, egg, butter, and salt.

Ingredients

  • For the salad
  • Two small cauliflowers in green and purple
  • Hand full of radishes
  • 3 carrotots
  • A few coriander leaves
  • For the dough to make the puffy bowls
  • 2.5 cups of flour
  • 0.5 cup of butter
  • 0.5 cup of beetroot water
  • 1 Egg
  • Salt
  • For the salad dressing
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • oil
  • Vinegar
  • Lemon Juice

Instructions

First, preheat the oven to 180°C / 350°F

Slice the radish into thin thin pieces.

Next, grate the carrot with the help of a grater.

Chop the coriander leaves.

Cut the cauliflower into small florets.

Bring water to boil and add some salt.

Let the Cauliflower boil for about 5 minutes till they become tender.

Drain the water and allow the vegetables to cool.

Next, add the cauliflower and broccoli florets to a large bowl.

Add the grated carrot, slices of radish, and chopped coriander to the bowl.

Add salt, pepper, oil, lemon juice, and vinegar to dress the salad.

Toss the vegetables with a spoon.

Now place the salad into the puffy bowls that you prepared with the dough.

Serve immediately.

Dough

Mix flour with butter, salt, beetroot water, and egg for making the red-colored dough.

Flatten the dough and cut it into two pieces.

Take each piece and put it on top of a bowl to give it a distinct shape. Cut the excess portions of the dough after it has taken a bowl shape.

With the remaining portions of the dough, make small red flour balls.

In a large baking sheet add the two bowls and the small daugh balls and bake it for 15minutes.

 

Notes

The recipe yields 2 servings of cauliflower salad in 2 self-made puff puff bowls.
